The purpose of the STAR ARNA ARC online newsletter is to share ideas, practices, events, and resources that support the teaching of action research.
Each edition features thought and practice pieces, events and conferences, book reviews, and resources. Readers are invited to contribute to future editions.

Our third newsletter features three articles focused around Learning Circle approaches to teaching, learning, and researching. Learning circles provide a collaborative structure for group work with distributed leadership.
–Margaret Riel explores the use of a collaboration structure- learning circles – as a strategy to help foster a community of practice among action researchers to design, conduct, and share action research.
– Linda Purrington provides us an overview of Norms of Collaboration and their relationship to effective Learning Circles.
–Teri Marcos applies a practical application and view of Learning Circles through the use of Learning Circle Logs that she engages within her doctoral students at National University.
